Wayne was a fighter but he had to be. He was born in 1942 and he had Cerebral Palsy. Schools were not wheelchair accessible. He had a tutor up until he was 16 years old. He had to do all his homework by memory as he couldn't write anything down. He wasn't able to hold a pen or pencil like most kids today. Can you imagine? I personally can't but we deal with what is given us.
Wayne had a wonderful sense of humour which I'm sure is what got him through his life. It could be pretty challenging and daunting for someone confined to a wheelchair and with a tongue cursed by the devil himself!
He lived a lot and he laughed a lot.
Wayne and I in school talking to the kids to shoot for their dreams! Don't take no for an answer.
